Leaf Pile

Avah stayed home with Daddy today while I took Jenna shopping.  She helped Daddy rake the leaves down the hill and then jumped in the pile.  She has been wanting to do this for a long time because she has a book about Clifford jumping in a leaf pile.  Daddy dressed her up in her camo coat, princess rain boots, and her new Dora hat she got for her birthday!

Nothing better than a good book in the bathtub!

A Day at the Park

Last week we took advantage of the warm weather and went to the park 3 days in a row. We took our blanket and had a picnic and then played for a while.

First Science Experiment

When daddy was planting the grass at our house, Avah wanted to plant her own grass seed.  As you can see, she did a good job of growing it!  
I just noticed that you can see the real yard in the background of the pictures and daddy did a good job of growing his grass, too!

Avah has been saying this for awhile, but she just let me get a video of her saying it. She came home from school one day reciting the Pledge....I almost fell over. I can't believe that she learned it so fast and that she can say all the words!

Halloween

The girls had a great Halloween. On Friday night, we went trick-or-treating with our friends John, Ashley and Zach. Avah and Zach had fun and really enjoyed getting all the candy. Avah was not bothered at all by any of the decorations or scary costumes (in fact, she really didn't pay any attention to them!) but if a boy was passing out the candy she would not go up to the house by herself. She is going through a spell where she does not like any boys at all except for daddy, Papaw and Uncle Nate. Zach was giving himself pep talks "Halloween no scare me"! as we were walking around. On Saturday, we went trick-or-treating in our neighborhood (they have it on Saturday every year). Avah was so excited to double up on her candy...although it will last her forever since she only gets one piece a day! Jenna loves being outside and she slept through most of the outing both nights. She did enjoy helping Avah sort through the candy!
