It started raining the other day while we were outside. Avah has been asking to play in the rain and this was a good summer shower to play in. She put on her rain boots and starting jumping in puddles. Both girls LOVED it!!

I don't even know what to call this post.....

Salato -Take 2

We went back to Salato this week.  The girls enjoyed seeing the animals.  We didn't get too many pictures because it started to rain on us.....so we enjoyed a picnic under the shelter in the rain!

Bubble Bath

Avah has been asking for a bubble bath for awhile, so I finally gave in and let her take one.  I haven't let her take one before because she has a history of getting UTI's, so I didn't want to chance the bubble bath giving her one!  She loves it and does not like that I only let her take one once a week.  Jenna also enjoyed the bubbles.  She would walk over and get a handful of bubbles and then come wipe them on my leg.  One night she was reaching a little too far for the bubbles and fell in!!...completely clothed!!  It was very scary for all of us!!  She was okay and she still loves her bath so I guess she wasn't too traumatized by it!

4th of July

We hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! We made the best of a rainy day and went downtown Lexington to watch the parade. We met up with Anna, Joe, Sophie, and Izzy. The girls really enjoyed it. After the parade, we found a dry spot for the girls to have a corndog and dance to the music that was playing! We then enjoyed a nice dinner at Red Robin (one of Avah's favorites) and then watched the fireworks in Georgetown. It was freezing and started raining on us so we watched them from inside the car. But, the girls didn't mind....they just LOVED seeing them! We put them in their pajamas before we went and both girls were asleep before we got out of the parking lot!

After the parade, we found a dry place to hangout.  Sophie, Izzy, Avah and Jenna enjoyed dancing to the music!

Salato

On Friday, we went to Salato Wildlife Center in Frankfort. Daddy was off work and the weather was perfect for a day outside. Unfortunately, when we got there they were closed! Apparently, they decided to close on July 3 and be open on July 4....how crazy is that? (There were some very unhappy people there!) We made the best of the situation and enjoyed a picnic and a game of tag. We were also able to see 4 baby deer sleeping in the grass by the fence. 

I am not sure what she thought she was going to get out of there?!

Sprinkler

Today was Jenna's first experience in the sprinkler. She, of course, was led into it by her big sister!!  Needless to say, she did not go near it again!
