The Farm

We went to our farm on Friday night and Saturday with Uncle Brian, Aunt Melanie, Ben and Jack. It was the first time that Melanie and I had stayed the night....and I think that we might even go back!! Avah had so much fun with her cousins. We had a campfire, went fishing, rode 4-wheelers, etc. Nana, Donnie, and Aunt Liv came by Friday night for the campfire and smores. Both girls slept well. Avah slept with Jason and I (which is only the 2nd time ever!) and Jenna slept in the pack-n-play. She got up at 7 to eat and then I was too lazy to put her back in her bed so we all slept until 9:30 in the bed. I was able to get up and catch a picture before everyone woke up!

Bath Time

Horse Park

We went to the Kentucky Horse Park a few weeks ago with some friends.  They had a free day for families with lots of activities for children.  Avah had fun playing with her friends Lillie, Sophie and Izzy.    They got to ride ponies, play on an inflatable slide, see horses in the barn, get balloons, and other fun stuff.  Jenna even woke up for a picture in the giant chair with the girls.

More Horse Park

4 Months

Jenna went to the doctor yesterday for her 4 month checkup.  Of course, they said that she was perfect!!  She weighs 14 lbs. and is 25 inches.  She was a trooper getting her shots.  Afterwards, we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch and to play....but she slept through it!

First Day of Preschool

Avah started preschool a few weeks ago.  She LOVES it!  There are 6 kids in her class, only 2 of which are girls.  It is a 3 yr. old class and she is the youngest (though you would never know it!) Her teacher, Ms. Bonnie, is so good with the kids.  She goes to school Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9 -12:30.  Being away from her the first morning was one of the hardest things I have done.....I felt so lost.  It is getting easier after seeing how much she loves it.  She jumps right out of bed and is so excited about getting ready for school.  She picks out her clothes and shoes the night before and then tells me how she wants her hair fixed in the morning.  She wanted to wear her pink dress and necklace on the first day!  I can't believe how fast she is growing up!

Kings Island

Here are some pictures from Avah's 4th trip to Kings Island!! She loves that place (it runs in the family!) Toyota cancelled their Kings Island day this year....about a month before it was scheduled....so we made our own trip. We invited one of Avah's friends, Kaylen, and her parents. Kaylen and Avah are in music class together. They have recently moved from Florida and had never been to Kings Island. As you can see, the girls had a great time. No pics of Jenna...she slept most of the time...she loves being in her stroller outside!!

First (and only!!) Motorcycle Ride

Roasting Marshmallows

The camo overalls came from Avah's cousin, Jack.  She now thinks that she has to wear them everytime we have a campfire.  They are not pink camo....but still pretty cute on her!!

Campfire

Here are some pictures from one of our campfires.   A large portion of our backyard is woods and Jason has been working hard to clear out some dead trees and cut down vines.  Since we are out of city limits, we are able to burn them in our yard.  Avah has really loved having the campfires (as she calls them) especially roasting marshmallows.  We have tried smores....but she just wants to eat the chocolate!

The next two pictures are taken from the deck.

Diddle Diddle Dumpling

This is Avah singing "Diddle Diddle Dumpling, My Son John" to Jenna. She learned this song in music class.

Sisters

I love watching these two together.  Avah is sooooo good with Jenna.  She wants to "babysit" her all the time.  She is good about getting her paci or giving her a toy.  As you can see, Jenna really looks up to Avah.  She always smiles when she hears her voice and is content when Avah is holding her.  I look forward to seeing them interact when Jenna is old enough to play and talk with Avah.
They have started taking baths together and have the best time.
Snuggling together in the morning.
Sitting in daddy's chair.
