Christmas Eve

We went to Papaw and Grammy's house on Christmas Eve. They fixed a great meal and the girls got to open their presents.

Opening presents...Avah got her own digital camera and Jenna got a musical book.

Avah and Uncle Nate

Jenna and Daddy waiting to eat.

The girls got their own Toyota FJ Cruiser!!  Avah was so excited...as you can tell by her face.  (I have a cute video of her unwrapping it that I will post soon!)   It was nice that it was 70 degrees outside today so she could drive it.  Her and Daddy went on two long trips around the neighborhood!

Ready for her Christmas program at school

She did so well at her first Christmas program.  I was nervous for her...I didn't know what she would do when she saw all the people.  She sang and did all the motions she was supposed to.  I just can't believe that she is old enough to be in a Christmas program!  We are so proud of her!

Christmas card photos

Here are some of the pictures from our attempt to get a Christmas card photo.  It took about 30 pictures to get one good one!  Avah gives a cheesy, eyes closed smile and Jenna just wants to look at Avah!

The Winner!

Thanksgiving

Some are some pictures from Thanksgiving....better late than never!  We had some of my family at our house on Thursday and then went to Jason's mom's house on Sunday.

Mommy and her girls!

Oh, Deer

Here are some pictures taken the other day from our kitchen window.

Look close!

Visit with Granddaddy Kermit

Over Thanksgiving weekend, we went to visit Jason's granddad, Kermit, at the nursing home. He is Jason's only living grandparent. Kermit is 90 years old and still sharp as a tack!
Jenna is the youngest great grandchild, so this is a picture of the youngest and oldest in the Grayson family!

Jason and his brothers.

Our nephews, Ben and Jack.

Santa was visiting the nursing home the day we were there. Avah is scared of him this year (it is really the fact that he is a man!) so she would not get her picture taken with him. We decided that we would act like we were walking away and he would stand behind us to get a picture. Avah had no idea! I hated to trick her...but at least we got a cute picture!

Avah's Birthday

We had Avah's birthday party at the Pavillion here in Georgetown. We started off with pizza, cake and presents and then everyone got to go swimming in their indoor pool. Avah wanted to have a swim party from the moment she saw that they had a pool. It was a great party!

Updates

We went to the doctor last Friday (Nov. 21) for the girls checkups. I was able to get Jenna's 6 month and Avah's 3 year visits done in one trip. Avah weighs 30 lbs. and is 35 inches short...I say that because she is only in the 6 percentile for height! Jenna weighs 16 lbs. 11 oz. and is 25 3/4 inches (Avah was 16 lb. 15 oz. and 26 3/4 inches at 6 mo). So far, Avah has been bigger than Jenna at every check-up even though Jenna was bigger at birth! We just recently found Jason's baby book and he was barely 40 lbs. at age 5! I guess they are going to be little as well! The doctor said that they were both perfect and was amazed at how smart Avah is. She said that I was going to have my hands full because of how much both girls talked through the entire visit!!
