The First Week

Jenna is adjusting well to her new home. She is still a great sleeper! Her routine has been to be awake from about 8:30p.m. or 9 until 10:00 (after taking a bath), sleep until 2a.m., eat, sleep until mommy wakes her up around 6, eat, sleep until mommy wakes her up around 10a.m! Since she still sleeps a lot right now, it has made the transition easier for Avah. I took the girls on my first outing by myself yesterday. We went to Target and they did great. Jenna also went to her first birthday party tonight. She got to spend a little time outside enjoying the fresh air!

Little Artist

Avah has really gotten into art projects. Her favorite right now is to paint with watercolors.

Don't let her fool you.....

Avah has been showing A LOT of attitude lately!! I know it's hard to believe after looking at this picture...but things have been a little rough around her lately. Lots of yelling "no" and "i don't like it". The combination of being 2 1/2, having a new sister, moving to a new house, and cutting 2 yr. molars (as I just discovered tonight) is just a bit too much!!
She has, however, been a great big sister to Jenna. She is very gentle with her and wants to hold her and kiss her all the time. She has become the official "baby burper" as well.

New Boots

Avah got some new "farm boots" (as she calls them). She loves wearing them around the house. As you can see, they seem to fit better without pants!!

All Dressed Up

Avah is really into dressing up lately. Aunt Liv captured this picture last weekend when she was in town.

Still Waiting

Well, we are still waiting for baby Jenna to arrive. When I went to the dr. on Tuesday, my fluid had gone up just enough that she wouldn't induce me this week. I know this is better for the baby.....but I was REALLY ready for her to be born!! I guess she is just not done cooking yet! I go back to the dr. on Tuesday if nothing happens before then.

Since I had some extra time on my hands, I added several new pictures of Avah I'll keep everyone posted!!

Pedicure

Mammy treated Avah and I to a pedicure. Avah loved it!! and so did mommy! She got her toenails painted pink and mommy got a french pedicure. Thanks Mammy!!

Big Girl Bed

This is Avah's first night sleeping in her big girl bed. She made the transition better than I could have ever imagined. She loves it so much that she will not even entertain the idea of anyone sleeping in there with her. She says, "this is my big girl bed...you have to sleep in your bed!" The bed was Jason's dad's bed and has been in the family for 40 years. He refinished the bed and dressers after his dad passed away and they look great.

Just Like Daddy

I think that Avah is going to be daddy's little hunting buddy!! And he thought that he had to have a boy to going hunting with!! =)

Keeneland

Here are some pics from us enjoying a beautiful day at Keeneland.

Feeding the Ducks

First Bike Ride

Avah's friend, Kalen, got a new bike for her birthday. Of course, she wanted to give it a try. I guess I know what we will be buying this summer!!

Doctor's Report

My fluid level is still low, but it hasn't gotten any lower. So...I have to stay down until Tuesday when I go back for another ultrasound. Then she will induce me on Wednesday or Friday. I will definitely be pushing for Wed., but I guess it depends on her schedule. It is exciting and scary to know that we will have another baby in a week or less!! Ready or not....here she comes!

Baby Update

Let's try this again....I've typed it 3 times and it keeps freezing up when I try to send it!

I went to the doctor on Tuesday and found out just how quickly plans can change. I had an ultrasound to determine if the baby is still breech and see if I was going to have a C-section. Good news....baby has turned into position and no C-section. But, my amniotic fluid level is very low and I am already dialated to 3 cm. So.....I have been on strict bedrest...only up to go to the bathroom and shower (it may sound fun....but it's not!!). I go back in the morning to recheck my fluid level. She wants me to make it to 37 weeks before delivering. I will be 37 weeks next Thursday. At the ultrasound on Tuesday, the baby was already 6lbs. I'll post tomorrow after the appt. (unless she admits me to the hospital).

BTW, baby girl finally has a name!! It's Jenna Kate.
