Breakfast with Santa

Our church has "Breakfast with Santa" every year. We get to eat a yummy pancake breakfast and then Santa comes to visit!

Santa is telling us about the true meaning of Christmas!

The girls actually sat in Santa's lap! (It helped Avah knowing that this was not the real Santa, but someone dressed up to be his helper!)

She is telling Santa that she wants "a Bitty Baby for Christmas"!

The best part was when we got home and Avah said to me "Mom, did you know that the real reason of Christmas is not Santa...it is about baby Jesus being born?" I am so glad that she "gets it"!!

Basketball

Avah has started playing basketball at our church. She has only had one practice because of the weather and holiday, but she really seemed to have fun!

She is the smallest one out there!

She was intimidated at first, but became more aggressive for the ball towards the end of the practice. I can't wait to see how she is doing at the end of the season!

Jason is also playing basketball on our church league, so she will get to watch his games as well as play her own games!

This year for Avah's birthday, she had 7 of her girl friends come over for a party and pretend sleepover! She planned the whole party....with a unicorn theme! We had a pinata and a pin the horn on the unicorn game. She wanted hot dogs, fruit, and mac-n-cheese for dinner and then wanted the girls to decorate their own cupcakes! (I got off easy this year!!) The girls brought their sleeping bags and PJs and after everything else was finished, they laid down and watched the new Tinkerbell movie! She had an awesome birthday! Enjoy the pics!

More Birthday

Birthday Morning

Avah's actual birthday was last Monday and daddy was off work!! Avah was so excited to open her presents from mom and dad that she wanted them as soon as she woke up! After chocolate chip waffles for breakfast, we went to the mall for lunch and dippin' dots (her special birthday request)!! We also went to see Santa. He let the girls sit in his chair and he sat on the floor and read them a book. He talked and read with them for about 15 minutes! They still didn't wouldn't sit in his lap for a picture....maybe next year!

Prayer

Here is Jenna saying the prayer at dinner. Just excuse the tired eyes and rubbed off face paint....we had been at WEG all day and she was wiped out!

Harvest Hoedown

Avah went to her first UK football game a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, we lost! But, we still a great time hanging out with our girl!!
