Having a picnic!

Avah's friends, Wyatt, Campbell, and Hunter, came over for a playdate. They had a lot of fun playing together. Campbell had to leave before lunch, but Avah, Wyatt, and Hunter enjoyed having a picnic at Avah's new table.

Avah Loves the Water!

We have so many pictures of Avah in the pool because she loves the water so much. She really likes the "big pool" but I always forget to take my camera when we go. Hopefully we will get to go a few more times before summer is over...and I will TRY to remember the camera. Until then...you'll just have to see the pool in the backyard! She is starting to "big girl swim" alot more now (which means that she lays on her belly and kicks).

Zoo

We went to the Cincinnati Zoo last Monday. As you can tell by the picture, Avah was ready the minute we got in the car! We had a lot of fun and enjoyed seeing all the animals. It was very hot so we tried to keep in the shade as much as possible. Our favorite thing was watching the manatees swim..but we couldn't take a picture of them. We also liked the gorillas (but the baby wouldn't come out to play.)

Aquarium

We also went to the Newport Aquarium while in Cincinnati. Avah wasn't as impressed by this as we thought she would be. But she did love the freedom she had to run around since we couldn't take her stroller! They have a lot of sharks right now so she enjoyed seeing them. We also got to watch the penguins being fed. I think that it is a crab that she is touching in the picture.

Making a Splash

This is a little video of Avah jumping in the pool to her daddy. We went to Cincinnati for a few days and this is at the hotel pool.

July 4th!

We had a lazy day on July 4. We had planned on spending the day by the pool, but the weather did not cooperate with us. Nana, Aunt Liv, and Mammy came over for a cookout and then Daddy made us a milkshake. After bath, Avah went for a horsey ride on Daddy (he makes a good horsey!!) Since it was raining, we didn't go downtown to watch the fireworks. Luckily, lots of people around our neighborhood spent lots of money on fireworks so we got a good show from our driveway. Avah was a little scared at first, but then loved them. She keeps talking about them (if she only knew it would be another year before she sees them again!) and how "fireworks boom in the sky....pretty."
