Great Wolf Lodge

After a long day at Kings Island, we decided to stay the night at the Great Wolf Lodge. It is right next to Kings Island and has a HUGE indoor water park. We had so much fun. I wish that I had gotten a picture of the water park...it is definitely some place that I recommend going if you like water. Of cource, Avah chased the characters around wanting to hug them.....after bugging them for about 5 minutes...we got a picture and told her they had to go. They also had a really cool animated storytime for kids right in the lobby. Avah loved the "talking tree."

Kings Island

We went to Kings lsland for Jason's work last Saturday. Avah went once earlier in the summer and was very excited to go back. We had to count down the days until we could "go Kings Island and ride the rides!." She loves that place....and riding all the rides that she could! She also loved all the characters and wanted to hug all of them. She is very sad about not going back for a year and at least once a day says "Kings Islands closed." Both of Jason's brothers work at Toyota and we took his mom and sister, so we were able to get somebody to take a family picture. It was a great day!!

Big Shoes

Avah loves wearing mommy and daddy's shoes. She wanted to wear daddy's new hunting boots when they came in the mail the other day. Since the boots go up past Jason's knees, Avah's feet couldn't even reach the bottom of them!! She is just balancing in them! It was too funny.

Avah and Zach

After a swimming date at Zach's house, Avah and her best friend had time for a quick pose. This picture was too cute not to share!

Water Hose

Avah was helping me water the flowers and then decided that she needed watering!! She sprayed herself in the face and started cracking up, so I had to run in and grab the camera. Surprisingly enough, she kept doing it so that I could get some video. Jason and I were cracking up....it was hilarious.

"China Clothes"

Lillie was just recently adopted from China and they brought Avah home some "China clothes". Avah wanted to immediately try them on. She loved them and they look so cute on her!

Avah and Lillie

Avah's friend, Lillie, came over to play today. They had so much fun playing and swimming together. And of course, having a popsicle! Lillie enjoyed playing with all of the new toys and Avah really liked Lillie's phone and purse. After coming in from the pool, Avah wanted to run around naked. She is discovering that she likes not having any clothes on! (We are hoping that it is because it is 100 degrees outside...and not a new phase!) Lillie found that she had enough hair to put in Avah's hairbow...it was so cute! I think that by the last picture...both girls were tired of having their picure taken! Wedding Reception

We went to a wedding reception last weekend for one of Daddy's friends. Avah loved being able to dance on the dance floor with all of the other kids, especially her cousins, Ben and Jack. The little girl in the picture kept wanting to dance with Avah, but she would have no part of it. She just wanted to do her own thing (imagine that!!)!

Avah's friends, Wyatt, Campbell, and Hunter, came over for a playdate. They had a lot of fun playing together. Campbell had to leave before lunch, but Avah, Wyatt, and Hunter enjoyed having a picnic at Avah's new table.

Avah Loves the Water!

We have so many pictures of Avah in the pool because she loves the water so much. She really likes the "big pool" but I always forget to take my camera when we go. Hopefully we will get to go a few more times before summer is over...and I will TRY to remember the camera. Until then...you'll just have to see the pool in the backyard! She is starting to "big girl swim" alot more now (which means that she lays on her belly and kicks).

Zoo

We went to the Cincinnati Zoo last Monday. As you can tell by the picture, Avah was ready the minute we got in the car! We had a lot of fun and enjoyed seeing all the animals. It was very hot so we tried to keep in the shade as much as possible. Our favorite thing was watching the manatees swim..but we couldn't take a picture of them. We also liked the gorillas (but the baby wouldn't come out to play.)

Aquarium

We also went to the Newport Aquarium while in Cincinnati. Avah wasn't as impressed by this as we thought she would be. But she did love the freedom she had to run around since we couldn't take her stroller! They have a lot of sharks right now so she enjoyed seeing them. We also got to watch the penguins being fed. I think that it is a crab that she is touching in the picture.

This is a little video of Avah jumping in the pool to her daddy. We went to Cincinnati for a few days and this is at the hotel pool.

July 4th!

We had a lazy day on July 4. We had planned on spending the day by the pool, but the weather did not cooperate with us. Nana, Aunt Liv, and Mammy came over for a cookout and then Daddy made us a milkshake. After bath, Avah went for a horsey ride on Daddy (he makes a good horsey!!) Since it was raining, we didn't go downtown to watch the fireworks. Luckily, lots of people around our neighborhood spent lots of money on fireworks so we got a good show from our driveway. Avah was a little scared at first, but then loved them. She keeps talking about them (if she only knew it would be another year before she sees them again!) and how "fireworks boom in the sky....pretty."
