And she's off.....

Jenna is crawling!  She does NOT sit still for a second....I never knew how lucky we were that Avah didn't crawl!  She pulls up on everything and is cruising along on anything that she can hold on to.  Her favorite thing to pull up on in Avah's dollhouse!  She is a climber and finally found the stairs tonight...guess Daddy is putting up the gate this weekend!  She won't stay seated in the bathtub either....needless to say, bathtime is very fast with Jenna!  I think she is going to be our "wild child"!!
She learned to clap and wave on Sunday.  It is so cute and she is so proud of herself!  She LOVES to eat and is pretty much eating all table food now.  Once she got a taste of the real stuff...she was done with her baby food.  She does a great job feeding herself and gets mad if you let her tray get empty!  We are working on signing "more" :)

Avah is continuing to be a great big sister.  She loves helping take care of Jenna and is surprising very patient with her.  I have started watching a friend's little girl, Naelee, who is the same age as Jenna.  Avah really enjoys getting to act as Naelee's big sister as well!
She is doing well in preschool and amazes us everyday with the things she knows and says!!  In the past few weeks she has been very interested in drawing and writing her name.  She surprised us two weeks ago at a restaurant and drew a picture of Uncle Nate.  I had never seen her draw a complete circle before!!  She is writing her "A" and "H" on everything. We are so proud of her!!  Here are a few pictures of her artwork.....

That's what is going on around here!!  Jenna and Avah both have doctor appointments on the 23rd.  Jenna has her 9 mo. check-up and Avah has to see a pediatric nephrologist.  She has been having some blood in her urine (only visible by a microscope) and they want to find the cause. After having several UTI's, she had a VCUG and an ultrasound done last May (the day before Jenna was born!!) to find the cause.  They were both fine so they want to find out what is going on.  I'll post after we have their appointments.

Yeah that crawling and pulling up on everything keeps you on your toes. They are hard to keep up with for sure at that age. I always said "It's a good thing you are so cute" at that age or you would lose your mind. Not so much the activity level but the fear of them pulling something over on themselves in a split second. Can't turn your back for an instant. It's a wonder I ever got a shower in those days. I love the art. The old arms out of the head. She has an eye for color and design too!
